Law Practice

Tom‘s law practice focuses on legal matters ranging from the creation of business entities to corporate governance and includes issues involving compliance, permitting, shareholders, directors, employment, labor law, occupational safety, intellectual property, real estate, and most other aspects of business operations, ownership, and governance.

Tom is certified to practice before all of the courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Federal District Courts located in Massachusetts, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He has been referenced in the Who’s Who of American Law from 1985 through 2007 and was cited as one of America’s top lawyers in 2018. Tom has two favorite US Supreme Court Judges; Hugo Black (1937-1971) and William O. Douglas (1939-1975) whom he met and shared correspondence with.

Aviation

Tom piloted his own helicopter for over 25 years, using it chiefly to visit with his business clients which were scattered throughout southern and central New England. He also donated his time and aircraft to charitable and educational events, landing in schoolyards and giving tours of the aircraft as a part of his lecture series on the benefits of helicopters. His “Serving many Industries… Saving More than Time” lectures were a highly sought-after speaker series for several decades.

He donated rides in support of many charity auctions and also used his helicopter to bring “Santa Claus” to many children events during the Christmas season. He was also dedicated to the helicopter industry’s “Fly Neighborly” program, visiting with community groups concerned about perceived safety and sound issues. His community outreach efforts often resulted in agreement and understanding, including route changes and other obvious and appreciated responses to the concerns that had been raised.
